SWS Program Statistics

Since the program was implemented on our campus in 1991, thousands of Poly students have been served by our workshops. During this time frame our data shows that students who regularly attended workshops have consistently performed better in the associated lecture course than those who did not participate in the Supplemental Workshops in Science (SWS) program.

In addition, our polls indicate that an average of 98% of the students who participated in a workshop would recommend them to a friend.

The following chart indicates that every year since 2003, students who have participated in Supplemental Workshops have, on the average, performed better in their lecture course than students who only attended the lecture.

SWS Passing Rates of A, B, or C
